IMPORTANCE OF SHIV NAAM, BHASAM, RUDRAKSH

The combination of three the SHIV NAAM, BHASAM and RUDRAKSH are considered to be most sacred in HINDU RELIGION. The persons who is having these three things are considered to be saint in the HINDU RELIGION. The SHIV NAAM is represented by RIVER GANGA, the BHASAM is represented by the YAMUNA and the RUDRAKSH is represented by the SARASWATI and by combining the three is the TRIVENI.

BHASAM is a very sacred thing in the HINDU religion. It is the residual left after burning of woods with GHEE and other HAVAN material or the residual left after burning the dry cow dunk. The BHASAM of the cow dunk is supposed to be the best. This shows the importance of cow for HINDUS. Not only dunk but the urine of cow is used in PANCHAMRAT which is used in worshipping. This is not due to a myth but has a research by our ancient RISHI MUNIES who were the scientists of their time. It is also written in old religious books that the cow milk is as good as mother milk. It is easy to digest, made the memory and mind sharp and has so many other advantages over the other milk. This is one of the reasons that is why the cow is considered as the mother in India.

The BHASAM is mainly of two types named MAHABHASAM and SWALAP BHASAM. The MAHABHASAM is further of three type named as SHRUOT, SMART AND LOKIK. The first two can be used only for the saint or VAIRAGIES and LOKIK can be used by the others. The BHASAM can be taken on the body on 32 or 16 or 8 places or just on the forehead in the TRIPUND( having three lines). Each line of these three lines represents the nine DEVTAS the first line represent the AKAR of the OM, DHARAM, RIGVED, PRITHVI, GRAH AGNI, PRATSWAN , RAJSIGUN, KRIYA SHAKTI, MAHADEV. The second line represents the UKAR of the OM, AKASH, YAJURVED, DAKSHINAY AGNI, MADHYMKAL SWAN, SATVIK GUN, ANTARATMA, ICHASHAKTI, MAHESHWAR The third line represents the MAKAR of the OM, AVHANIYA AGNI, DHULOK, SAMVED, TAMOGUN, TRITAYSWAN,PARAMATMA,GYANSHAKTI, SHIV.

Similarly the RUDHRAKSH is a fruit which is find in INDIA. Actually once the LORD SHIV being the YOGIRAJ was doing meditation for centuries together and once when HE opened HIS eyes then the two drops of water fell down as tears and those water crops give rise to trees of RUDRAKSH. These are spherical in the shape and have throne on its surface. The effectiveness of the RUDRAKSH depends upon the size of the RUDHRAKSH. The smaller it is the better it is. The different colors of RUDHRAKSH is recommended for the different casts as white for the BRAHMINS, dark red for the SHATRIYA, yellow for the VAISHYAY and the black for the SHUDARS. The other things which effect the effectiveness of the RUDRAKSH is the mouth it has. It can have at the most 14 mouths.

How the GOD VISHNU got the SUDERSHAN CHAKAR

Once the demons became very strong and they defeated the DEVTAS in war. Even the GOD VISHNU was not able to kill them. Then the GOD VISHNU started worshipping the LORD SHIV by having 1000 lotus and started worshiping by offering one lotus and chanting one name of the LORD SHIV. But in the mean time the LORD SHIV just to test the GOD VISHNU remove one lotus and hide that. When the GOD VISHNU found that one lotus is missing then He started searching it. He went to all the places in the universe but did not find that lotus any where. But His wish to worship was very strong and ultimately GOD VISHNU offered His one of the eye ball and completed His POOJA. Looking at this the LORD SHIV becomes very happy and came there and asked the GOD VISHNU about His desire. Then the GOD VISHNU told LORD SHIV about the position and requested to HIM to give Him such powers so that He could end the region of terror created by the demons. Then the LORD SHIV gave HIS one of the most powerful weapon called the SUDERSHAN CHAKAR to the GOD VISHNU. GOD VISHNU killed the demons with that SUDERSHAN CHAKAR and from that day onwards the SUDERSHAN CHAKAR becomes the weapon of the GOD VISHNU.

PRANAV-FIRST MANTAR, SHADAKSHAR & PANCHAKSHAR-BEEJ MANTAR IN HINDU RELIGION

PRANAV (First) MANTAR OF HINDU RELIGION

When the LORD SAMBH SADHASHIV decided to create SRISHTI (UNIVERSE) then first of all HE created DEVI SHIVA also known as PRAKRATI (NATURE) or SHAKATI (POWER) After ward HE created GOD VISHNU and from Him the GOD BRAHMA. In the biggning Both GOD VISHNU & GOD BRAHMA could not understand that who has created Them and after thousands of years of meditation by GOD BRAHMA & GOD VISHNU, then the LORD SHIV and SHIVA came there and told Them about the ‘OM” which .was the first sound ever heard in the Universe. That is why it is supposed to be the most sacred MANTAR of the HINDU RELIGION. The AA in the OM represent the PURUSH (MALE) the OO represent the NAARI (female) and the MM represent the SYUNTKAT (COMBINED) form.

This word OM in Hindi or Sanskrit is consisting of three parts. The first part ‘AA” represent- BEEJ (seed) means GOD BRAHMA who is the creator of the JADH SHARIR (body without life) in the SRISHTI and middle part “OO” represent the YONI (place to put the seed) – GOD VISHNU-responsible to control and run the universe and last part “MA” represent LORD SHIV who is BEEJAK (the power responsible for putting the seed Also the AA in the OM represent the PURUSH (MALE) the OO represent the NAARI (female) and the MM represent the SYUNTKAT (COMBINED) form.). So “OM” is the first MANTAR and is also called PARANAV MANTAR.

Otherwise the PRA of the PRANAV represents the PURATAN (OLD) KARAMS and the NAV represent the new GYAN (knowledge). It also means that who believe in the OM which is the PRANAV MANTAR his/her all the old KARAMS got burnt and he/she get the new GYAN of spirtulism or the LORD SHIV.

Another meaning of PRANAV the PAA represent the PRAKRATI (nature) and NAV means the NAAV (boat) means that to cross over the SANSAR ROOPI (world) MAYAJAAL (confusing elements) this PRANAV MANTAR is the NAAV.

Also the PAA means the PRAPANCH- means the confusion of the world and NAV means NO- it is not meant for you and the person who worship PRANAV MANTAR comes out of this PRAPANCH and get the MOKSH.

The word OM is known as the PRANAV MANTAR. The middle of the MANTAR contains all the three GODS- BRAHMA, VISHNU & RUDHAR. This is the first MANTAR of the SRISHTI. There are six types of PRANAV MANTAR known as

1) MANTAR
2) YANTAR BHAKATI
3) DEVTA BODH
4) PRAPANCH
5) GURU
6) SHISHAY

First is the MANATAR ROOP is the MANTAR PRANAV.

The second is YANTAR (instrument) ROOPI SHIV LING which is also based on the MANTAR ROOP.

Then the third is PANCH (five) MANTAR which is considered as five DEVTAS who are the five MUKHS (mouths) of LORD SHIV.

Fourth is CHATURLPURH PAAD means the four faces of BRAHMA JI from PURUSH TO SADHUJAT.

Fifth is ISHAN which has the first four MANATRS from PRUSH TO SADHUJAT in the VYASHTI ROOP and fifth ISHAN MANTAR as the SAMISHTI ROOP of all the four MANATARS.

This is also called the ANUGRAH CHAKAR. It further has two parts one is TIROBHAV and other is MUKTI. The TRIOBHAV are the five works of LORD SHIV i.e. SRISHTI, SITHITI, SHANHAR, TRIOBHAV & ANUGRAH and other part is MUKTI.

The PRANAV MANATAR is consists of two portions 1. SMASHTI. 2. VYASHTI. It is consist of the five SWARS (voice) AA, EE, OO, RR, LR or five AKSHARS the first AKSHAR “AA” is the first SWAR. The 2nd AKSHAR “OO” is the fifth SWAR, The third AKSHAR “MA” is the PANCHAM VARG PRAVAG‘S last AKSHAR. The BINDU is the fourth part and NAADH is the fifth part of the PARANAV. The first 4 AKSHAR are the SAMVASHTI ROOP of the PRANAV and fifth NADH is the VYASHTI ROOP of the PRANAV.

SAMVASHTI ROOP: This is the ROOP (type) in which four activities were done as SRISHTI (creation) by GOD BRAHMA, PALAN (keep running) by GOD VISHNU, SANGHAR (end) by GOD RUDHAR and TRIOBHAV (putting PRAN-LIFE) by GOD MEHASWAR. VYASHTI ROOP do the ANUGRAH means MOKSH which can be done only by LORD SADHA SHIV. It is also represented by PANCH BHOOT named PRITHVI (EARTH) responsible for creation, JUL (water) responsible for running life, AGNI (fire) responsible for burning, VAYU (air) responsible for moving are SAMVASHTI ROOP and fifth the AAKASH (SKY) is responsible for MOKSH (freedom from rebirth or merger with GOD) and is called VYASHTI ROOP.

The ANUGRAH CHAKAR of ISHAN is also called the PARAM PADH because it explains the SUKSHAM (very small), NIRVIKAR- without any VIKAR (attraction or attachment or hate), PARBRAHMA ROOP of LORD SHIV.

What ever JADH is seen is the creation of the BRAHMAJI with the PANCH BHOOT and PANCH KALA are the KARAN SWROOPNIES of those PANCH BHOOTS. Those KALAS are SHANTIYATA KALA which leads to the SHIV TATAV containing
the MAHA ASHVARAYA, second is SHANTI KALA with TATPRUSH, third is VIDHYA KALA with AGHOR, fourth is PRITISHTA KALA with VAMDEV and fifth is NIRVRATI KALA with SADHUJAAT.

PRANAV MANTAR ‘OM’ is represented in two forms one is SUKSHAM and the other is SATHOOL. The single digit symbol OM is known as SUKSAM –PRANAV and the full word NAMA SHIVAY is known as SATHHOL PRANAV. The SUKSHAM PRANAV again has two parts HARSAV and DEEGARH. The HARWAS PRANAV has only three digits AA, OO, MM. The AA represents the LORD SHIV, OO represents the DEVI SHAKATI and MM represents there unified form. The DEEGARH PRANAV has AKAR, UKAR, MAKAR, BINDU, NAAD, SHABAD, KAAL & KALA in it. The followers of HINDU religion who do not pray for any physical things shall pray the SUKSHAM PRANAV and the followers who have desire for some physical things shall pray for DEEGARH PRANAV.

SHADAKSHAR (six digits) and PANCHAKSHAR (five digits) MANTAR- OM NAMA SHIVAY:
MAHATAMAY of the PANCHAKSHAR MANTAR:

The SHADAKSHAR MANTAR, the combination of PRANAV-OM and PANCHAKSHAR MANTAR- NAMA SHIVAY which is BEEJ (seed) of all the MANTARS and VEDS in the HINDU RELIGION as the small seed have a very big tree in it similarly this small SHADAKSHAR MANTAR is the seed of all the MANTARS and VEDS in the HINDU RELIGION. It is mentioned in the SHIV PURAN in the KALI KAAL (the time which is running at present) when it will be difficult to get a sincere GURU (teacher) at this time only understanding and remembering this MANTAR is sufficient to get peace and MOKSH(liberation).

This SHADAKSHAR (six digits) MANTAR is the MOOL BEEJ of all the VIDHYAS. ‘OM’ is established by the three GUNS containing ATEET, SARVAYAG, SARVKARTA, DHUTIMAAN, SARVMAYAVI PRABHU SHIV. NAMA SHIVAY has the ISHAN etc. SUKSHAM AAKASHROOP BRAHMA. LORD SHIV is present there as VACHAY-VACHAK BHAV. SHIV is VACHAY and the MANTAR is HIS VACHAK. PRAKARATI is JADH, JEEVATAMA is AGYANI (illiterate), it is only LORD SHIV WHO is PARAMATMA and can give MOKSH and knows everything.

For every thing to happen one reason and one KARTA is required. Reason is the PRARENA (encouragement) which initiate action in the KARTA and the JADH body is necessary as the KARTA is required a body to do the KARAMS(activities). So the JADH is the body, JEEVATAMA is the KARTA and the LORD SHIV is the reason or the PRARENA or the GOD who runs all. What ever happens there is always a reason behind that and even if the PRALAY (end of this universe) comes there is always a reason and when the SRISHTI is recreated there also is always a reason and that reason is LORD SHIV which always exists and has no start, middle or end. In PARLAY KAAL when every thing goes into dark all the DEVTAS and VEDS get merged in to the PANCHAKSHAR MANTAR and again when the GOD BRAHMA starts making the SRISHTI then LORD SHIV gave from HIS five mouths the PANCHAKSHAR MANTAR to the GOD BRAHMA and the GOD BRAHMA gave this PANCHAKSHAR MANTAR from His five mouths to His sons. By this the GOD BRAHMA knows the LORD SHIV with the VACHAY-VACHAK BHAV. Then the GOD BRAHMA told this to His sons and they went to the MERU hills for TAPASYA and after a long TAPASAYA the LORD SHIV and DEVI SHIVA came there and told the sons of GOD BRHAMA about the RISHI, CHAND, DEVTAS, BEEJ, SHAKATI, KILAK, SHADANG NAYAS, DIGBANDH, VINYOG of the PANCHAKSHAR MANTAR. After knowing that, they started expanding the SRISHTI of DEVTAS, ASURS and MANAV.

Though all the AKSHAR of the NAMA SHIVAY are the BEEJ ROOP but the second AKSHAR is the BEEJ of this MANTAR. Third VARAN is the DHIGAR SVAR, KILAK is the fifth VARAN and SHAKATI is the fifth VARAN. The RISHI of the MANTAR is VAMDEV and PANKATI is named as CHAND of the MANTAR. LORD SHIV is the DEVTA and owner of this MANTAR. GAUTAM, ATRI, VISHWAMITAR, ANGIRA and BHARDWAJ are the RISHIES of the NKARADHI VARNAS. GAYATRI, ANUSHTAP, TRISHUTAP, BRAHATI, VIRAT are the CHAND of these five AKSHARS. INDER, RUDHAR, VISHNU, BRHAMA and SKAND respectively are the DEVTAS of these AKSHARS. The five MUKHS of LORD SHIV are the SATHANS of these NAKARADI AKSHARS. The first, second and fourth AKSHAR of this MANTAR are the UDAT and third is the ANUDHAT and fifth is the SWARIT. MOOL VIDHYA, SHIV, SHAIV, SUTRA and PANCHAKSHAR are the names of this MANTAR. SHAIV BEEJ PRANAV is considered as the heart of LORD SHIV, NAKAR is the head, MAKAR is the SHIKHA, SHI is KAVACH, VA is NETAR, and YAKAR is the ASTAR of LORD SHIV. In the CHATURTHPRAYANT of ANGS joining the NAMAH, SHWAHA, VASHAT, HUM, VOSHAT, FUT is known as ANGANAYAS. If the fifth VARAN YA is replaced by the twealth SWAR YAEE means instead of saying NAMH SHIVAY if says NAMAH SHIVAEE it becomes the MOOL MANTAR of DEVI SHIVA.

The HINDU RELIGION has 14 VIDYAS containing the six VEDANG, 4 VEDS, MIMANSA, VISTRIT NAYAY SHASTAR, PURAN, and DHARAMSHASTAR. If the ARYUVED, DHIRITVED, GANDHARV VED AND UTTAM ARTHSHASTAR are included then the total comes to 18. In the biggining of the SRISHTI the LORD SHIV created HIS son GOD VISHNU who create His son GOD BRAHMA from His NABHI and gave Him the knowledge of the VEDS. Then BRAHMA JI created the PURAN and from His four mouths GOD BRAHMA narrated the 4 VEDS and SHASTARS. Then in the DVAPAR YUG SHRI HARI took birth as the SHRI KRISHAN DEVAEPAYAN and summarized the VEDS and PURANS. That is why He was called the VED VYAS also. In total there are 18 PURANS named as:

1) BRAHM PURAN.
2) PADMPURAN
3) VISHNUPURAN
4) SHIV PURAN
5) BHAGWAT PURAN
6) HAVISHAY PURAN
7) NARAD PURAN
8) MARKANDEY PURAN
9) AGNI PURAN
10) BRAHMVEYTARPURAN
11) LINGPURAN
12) VARAH PURAN
13) SKANDPURAN
14) VAMAN PURAN
15) KURAMPURAN
16) MATASAY PURAN
17) GARUDH PURAN
18) BRAHMAND PURAN

Among these the SHIV PURAN has the SEVEN SANHITAS named as VIDESHWAR SANHITA, RUDAR SANHITA, SHATRUDAR SANHITA, KOTIRUDAR SANHITA, UMA SANHITA, KAILASH SANHITA, VAYVIY SANHITA.

The PRANAV MANTAR has five BHEDS –AA, EE, OUU, RA, LR which are the basic SWAR of the SANSKRIT language and from these GYATRI MANTAR came out from which the VEDS came out and from VEDS all the other MANTARS came out which are written in the HINDU RELIGION. So, PRANAV is suppose to be the first MANTAR of the HINDU religion and SHADAKSHAR MANTAR is the BEEJ (seed) MANTAR of the HINDU religion.
